Reluctantly it’s time to sell my Focus RS, build number 0383. Unfortunately I don't get to drive her much anymore due to my new job in Bristol, which I commute by train. I've owned this car for over 4 years and loved every second of it, she pulls like a train, sounds amazing and turns heads everywhere she goes. I've spared no expense maintaining the RS over the years, she has a full service history (Ford and specialists) documents contained within the original leather wallet. I've recently (April) had her MOT'd, a full service and dyno tune up at Sabre. I have a folder jam packed full of receipts, dyno prints, old MOTs etc, even the original press release packages which are rare to come by. She's just tipped over 90k and runs sweet as a nut mechanically. MOT: • 28.04.15 (11 months left) Flew through with no advisories (just needed a CV boot which popped on the RR) Service: • 04.04.15 Genuine ford parts used, rocker cover gasket replaced Dyno Tune: • 16.04.15 RR producing a safe 262bhp at 21psi. Sabre set up the E-Boost 2 to run 4 different channels of boost, low boost 14psi (standard) to high boost, 21psi Big Jobs: • AP Racing organic clutch, release bearing (from GGR) and gearbox oil replaced at 86K • Chargecooler pump refurb, bushes and main bracket replaced at 86K • Water pump refurb (SP Water Pumps) at 80K (Inc new header tank and cap) • Cambelt, aux belt and tensioners replaced at 68K Interior: • Scangauge (essential bit of kit) • E-Boost 2 boost controller • Upgraded Pioneer head unit (Iphone, USB, MP3) in 3M carbon wrap surround • Original RS front mats • Original tyre weld compressor kit in boot Exterior: • Aeroblade front splitter • Anthracite alloy wheels and centre caps (DMB graphics) wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1s, rears are like new • Front brakes - Standard brembo calipers and pads with grooved and drilled discs, Goodridge braided hoses • Rear brakes - full refurb (April), brand new grooved and drilled discs, dephi pads, slide pins, bolts and handbrake springs, Goodridge braided hoses Mods: • Bluefin re-map • Milltek sports cat and flexi wrapped in Dei titanium • Mongoose cat back on Powerflex mounts • K&N Gen II induction kit • Forge re-circ dump valve • Roose boost hoses, re-circ hose and various coolant hoses • Vibratechnics torque link • 10mm rear spacers and 5mm front spacers • Slam panel heat shielding • Few modest bits of under bonnet bling including a personalised spark plug cover etched with the build number Common faults: • Uprated CPE thermostat housing • Recent sump pan • Pollen filter sealed properly • Lower drivers side coolant pipe corrodes, replaced with Demon Performance alloy pipe • Uprated Goodridge braided hoses all round, standard can foul on areas like clutch release arm • Clutch master cylinder (genuine LUK from CPE) • Heater matrix hoses uprated to Roose hoses • Uprated Pumaspeed one way inlet manifold hose • Inlet manifold blanking plug replaced from CPE • Both front wheel bearings replaced, passenger side hub replaced • Various Powerflex/standard suspension bushes replaced The interior is in great condition although the car suffers from the usual stone chips on the front bumper. There is also a car park ding and small dent (see pics) some scratches and a scuff on the rear bumper thanks to irresponsible car park monkeys over the years. The passenger side rear arch is suffering with rust (see pic) and two small rust spots are coming through on the corners of the rear tailgate trim, both common rust area on the RS. Two of the alloys could do with a refurb as they've started flaking. The car just generally needs a bit of TLC, I don't really have the time or inclination unfortunately, my priority was always keeping the car mechanically sound. When cleaned and polished she does gleam very nicely!! Please no timewasters or test pilots, this is a serious car and I’m not just going to let anyone drive it without relevant insurance. These cars are a future classic and going up in value, so grab a real piece of Ford performance motoring.
